Tickle Me Elmo was released in time for the holiday season of 1996, and quickly became a hot ticket item with stores selling out and parents paying up to $1000 under the table to obtain this newest fad for their children.

In 2006, Fisher-Price released TMX Tickle Me Elmo (the X stands for ten, as the TMX version was released exactly ten years after the original). TMX Elmo has a few tricks up his sleeve. If you know just the right place to tickle him, you can get some hilarious reactions.

The three prime tickle spots are located under the chin, on the stomach, and on top of t he foot. Tickling any one of these places unleashes a response that makes the wiggles of ten years ago seem boring. Elmo slaps his belly, falls to the floor, gets up and falls again, and demands, “Again! Again!”

Second and third tickles cause ever more outlandish reactions until finally Elmo lies on his back, laughing and helplessly slapping the floor.

Then in 2008, the TMX Extra Special Edition Elmo came along, and things got even funnier. This Elmo had “secret spots” and if you found them he would perform even beyond his usual range of standard tricks. For instance, if you lift Elmo’s arm up and tickle his belly at the same time, he’ll sing a song. If you raise his right arm, push his face down to his toes, and tickle his feet, you’ll give him the hiccups.

And that’s not all Elmo can do. For more information and clues on his various routines, visit Mahalo for TMX Extra Special Edition Secrets.

Tickle Me Elmo dolls have been around for almost fifteen years. Tyco released the playful and ticklish after a very touch and go and quite confusing start. In fact, the original concept was for the toy to be a monkey. It was later redesigned as a “Tickle Me Taz” when Tyco still held the rights to produce Looney Tunes stuffed animals; just before the original release Tyco lost those rights, but did gain those of Sesame Street soon after and Tickle Me Elmo was born.

Since its debut, Tickle Me Elmo has been a kid favorite throughout America, even though it has never regained the popularity that it enjoyed in 1996. Nevertheless, a ten year anniversary version called the TMX which stand for Tickle Me Ten (X) or, more appropriate after the tenth year, Tickle Me eXtreme. No matter how one views it, this doll surpasses previous versions in all aspects.

After the release of the anniversary TMX, Mattel released the Special Edition TMX doll that has several different hidden messages. As a result, the sales increased and people spent hours trying to listen to all of the messages, probably in the hopes that it would be like the special release Elmo doll in 2001 where several people won $200,000. Nevertheless, this has been one of the more popular releases of the doll since the original in 1996. Thankfully though, there aren’t as many people committing crimes or acting recklessly in order to obtain these dolls.

If you have a TMX Special Edition Elmo and haven’t completely figured everything out, there are a lot of websites with a plethora of information on how to get the doll to say the secret phrases. However, if you are like most people, there is also a cheater website that gives you step by step instructions and videos of what you should do and what to expect – TMXSpecialEdition.com.

The Tickle Me Elmo Toy first rose to popularity in 1996 during the Christmas season. It was during this time that people lined up in front of stores hours before opening in hopes that they will be able to purchase the Tickle Me Elmo. In 1996 the Tickle Me Elmo toy was very basic. By tickling the toy it caused it to start laughing very hard and would also vibrate and shake. While the design may have been fairly basic, the toy itself was a world wide favorite, and quickly sold out in almost every store in the nation as soon as they became available. The Tickle Me Elmo toy was also featured on a number of different popular television shows including the Today Show with Matt Lauer and Katie Couric.

The Tickle Me Elmo TMX may seem eerily similar to the old Tickle Me Elmo as you remove it from the box. However, the upgraded version that has been dubbed the TMX version is a completely different toy with many more features than were featured on the original Elmo. At just a little more than a foot tall, this Elmo is just slightly larger than the first version. The TMX is not as soft as the first version, and instead is much harder with a plastic shell under its furry outsides.

The Tickle Me Elmo TMX, believe it or not, is the hardest laughing Elmo yet. When you tickle Elmo at any number of his three designated spots, there are a number of actions that Elmo will do in response to your tickling. The spots that Elmo will respond to your tickles are on the underside of his chin, on his stomach, and then on his feet. In addition to laughing and vibrating the TMX Elmo will also wave his hands and rub his stomach. His legs will kick, and his head will sway from side to side as he laughs.

The Tickle Me Elmo TMX is truly the upgraded version of the Tickle me Elmo, and is capable of a number of actions that previous versions of the toy were not capable of. If you are looking for a fun toy that the entire family will enjoy, the Tickle Me Elmo TMX is just the toy for you.

Since the introduction of the Tickle Me Elmo dolls, many people have viewed from the standpoint of a collector. These dolls have a value to some as being a part of history, while others just view them as cute toys, and still more see them, like beanie babies, to have a permanent place in the history of fad collecting. No matter the reasons why, these dolls have found themselves the center of many people’s collecting habits. This, in turn, opens up a market for those people that either collect or just like to make a profit on others compulsions to do so.

The market is plentiful with toys and other collectibles from February until September. This is the time when people have generally stopped buying Christmas presents and when they generally run out of money they got through the holidays. With this overabundance of TMX Elmo’s it is easy to find deals at stores and online where retailers are trying to get rid of old stock.

Once you’ve found your deal, you should be sure to look into it carefully. Many stores know that people will buy the toy/collectible to resell later in the year and will then put restrictions on how many you can purchase. However, even sellers that put limits on purchases can’t put limits on how many times you visit the store to buy the overstock. After you’ve done all this, be sure to not sell your TMX dolls early with the prime time to sell being around Thanksgiving.

This year as always young kids everywhere wanted an Elmo toy for Christmas. Children love toys that make noise and move around. These kinds of toys are very entertaining to kids of all ages. If you think about it, even adults enjoy toys that have sound and motion. Of course you can buy toys of no name characters that make a sound or slowly do one simple motion, but your child will get bored quickly. The reason Elmo TMX was so popular throughout 2009 is because all kids know and love the Elmo character. On top of that, the actions Elmo TMX makes is unlike other toys on the market. Elmo TMX is a top of the line childrens’ toy. The odds are you have been interested in Tickle Me Elmo dolls when you passed by them in the stores and you couldn’t resist playing with them.

Throughout 2009 I heard about the new Elmo TMX and I knew I had to get one for my niece. She loves Elmo and I knew the Elmo TMX would keep her entertained. I looked in two different Walmart stores with no luck. Then I went to Target and even to Kohl’s. I couldn’t find the Elmo TMX. The last place I looked was on Amazon online. This was a great place to look, because I was able to purchase an Elmo TMX at a fairly reasonable price. Within a week I received the doll and on Christmas morning when my niece opened her present her reaction was priceless.

Many people have fallen into the craze of must haves and the Elmo TMX Edition is certainly one of them. Consumerism in the US is a very dangerous and explosive concept that is often used to herd people to stores who must have the next best thing on the market, even if it is for their own pleasure. The Elmo TMX Edition is one of those products that people will do anything in their power to get, even if it hurts others in the process. One famous case happened in a hot topic store where 300 waiting customers trampled and cause physical damage to an employee that had the last available doll for that time period. It is important to realize that these frantic people who must have these toys are the dangerous ones that are too well tied to consumerism. The companies that release these must haves are profiting off of the people who must have it, especially when released before a major holiday such as Christmas time.

The best way to safely find a Elmo TMX Edition toy is by using the internet. Often, collectors will want to sell their prized possessions for a very high price and those who need them to feel like they are offering their kids (or themselves) the best by getting them an overpriced version of a simple toy. Elmo for some mystical reason is one of the most influential characters in the Sesame Street series and will always be very sought after by parents who want their kids to have the best in toys. Although a laughing and rolling toy may seem fun, it gets old rather quickly and children tend to just put it aside and go after the next big thing. So before you invest so much money in a toy, think about if it is truly worth it!

This little, vibrant red Muppet has been a hot toy for kids for the last thirteen years in America. If Elmo is squeezed three times, he shakes and laughs hysterically. When it comes to people, tickling makes them roll, fall, kick and laugh, without any control over themselves. Watching the same reaction in a toy is quite enjoyable, because it reminds us of the same tickling feeling of joy that makes us laugh. When you break it down to that level, you can see that is the secret behind the hot sale of Elmo TMX!

When you set out to shop for Elmo, you will probably already know the difficulty of finding him. Often, there is a problem of it being out of stock in all the stores, and they do not know the date of arrival of the next batch for sale. Additionally, there is also another hurdle, which is that large stores tend to ration them out to increase the existing demand even more.

If you go online to get your Elmo TMX, you have the opportunity to compare the prices of it, as well as subsequently checking the availability. Generally, the hoarding of the toy happens during night. If you choose a twenty-four hour store, you will probably be able to get one. Some successful buyers report that they shopped for TMX at 2 to 3 a.m. Although it sounds extreme, it is worth trying to get a cute Elmo TMX for your lovely kid during the holiday season (when demand inevitably reaches its highest point).

If you are still having trouble getting your hands on an Elmo TMX, contact any local shops where you are a regular customer. Many of these shops have contacts with the toy manufacturers, and will be more willing to fetch one for you to retain your customer satisfaction.

Elmo TMX is a precious toy to gift on any occasion, and is guaranteed to bring a smile to the child who receives it!

Although you may not realize that it has been this long, the first Tickle Me Elmo was first introduced to the market back in 1996. While Tickle Me Elmo may have seemed like any other toy when it first came out, it didn’t take long for Tickle Me Elmo to become the must have toy for Christmas, and it literally created “Tickle Me Elmo mania” throughout the United States. Because Tyco wasn’t expecting Tickle Me Elmo to be so popular, there was a short supply of this toy, and as a result, people went to desperate measures to get one for Christmas (including paying up to $1500 for the toy, even though it originally only cost $28.99).

Since the original Tickle Me Elmo, there have been other Tickle Me Elmos that have been released over the years. The latest Tickle Me Elmo to be released is the TMX Tickle Me Elmo. The reason that the new TMX Tickle Me Elmo is special is because it has expanded capabilities from the first Tickle Me Elmo. While the original Tickle Me Elmo simply laughed and vibrated, the new TMX Tickle Me Elmo has a wide variety of features. These features include: three interactive tickle spots on his chin, tummy or toe, Elmo slapping his belly, falling forward with his butt sticking out, standing back up again, toppling backwards and kicking his legs over his belly. If you have a child who is around preschool age and you are looking for a gift that your child will love, you should consider the TMX Tickle Me Elmo because it is a wonderful gift for children in this age group (and since “Tickle Me Elmo mania” is no longer an issue, you won’t have to worry about paying $1500 for this Tickle Me Elmo; you can simply order it for a reasonable price from the Internet).
